The fall competition season has concluded, and Perry County School District’s choir programs have amassed dozens of honors.
Four students earned All-State Honors. Seniors Sophia Buerck and Ayla Schuler earned All-State Second Alternate, and Honorable Mentions were awarded to junior Chloe Cox and senior Grady Warren.
The PHS Choirs are under the direction of Ms. Taylor Davis.
Twenty-nine students earned a spot on the All-District Choir, including Sophia, Chloe, Ayla and Warren. They are Wesley Baggett, Tanner Bequette, Blake Bodendieck, Abigail Bridges, Waylon Buerck, Taylor Ebersohl, Hunter First, Karlie Kannenberg, Riley Kemp, Jacob King, Kaden Lane, Josephine Lohmann, Jesalyn Louveau, Ashton Mitchell, Gavin Moll, Destyn Morgan, Gwen Newbrough, Dominick Paul, Alyson Peeler. Xavier Pfaff, Anna Rehagen, Cole Stephens, Jared Stortz, Ziva Thurman, and Aidan Unverferth.
Fifteen members of the Perry County Middle School Choir, under the direction of Ms. Carly Green, also made the All-District Choir. They are Lexi Amschler, Leann Auler, Allison Bradshaw, Roselyn Brunner, Quinton Buerck, Jasper Burress-Johnson, Brooklyn Conley, Aubrey Hecht, Addelynne Kirn, Blake Maybearry, Adriana Robles, Chevy Stark, Elaina Taylor, Autumn Taylor, and Adisyn Vernon.
