Students in Kersten Fulmer’s class at Perryville High School recently conducted a study to determine if they could outrun a dinosaur. The activity involved measuring their own legs to find which dinosaur had similar leg lengths and then competed against the Velociraptor (about 20-inch legs), Sanjauansaurus (25 inches), Deinonychus (30 inches), or Coelophysis (35 inches). Students then ran 8 strides to compare their running stride to that of their dino. One team had long enough legs to survive!
