Emma Fetterhoff with FFA Agriscience First Place plaque

Perryville High School sophomore Emma Fetterhoff won first place in the Agriscience Fair Plant Systems category at the Missouri State FFA Convention in April. Emma is the first Perryville FFA member to ever compete at this event. Her project explored the effects of PFAS, harmful chemicals found in cleaning products, waterproof clothing, nonstick cookware and seafood, on the growth of plants watered with PFAS-polluted water. Emma advances to the National FFA Convention competition in October in Indianapolis.
