The annual Special Olympics hosted by Perryville High School Student Council was held May 15 at Perry County School District 32. Students in Grades K-12 participated in track and field events that included runs, relays, a softball toss, and the standing and running long jump. This year, member of the Perry County Sheriff's Department and Perryville Police Department presented medals to the winners, and Perryville Mayor Larry Riney gave the athletes passes to the Perry Park Center Theater. The District 32 Special Olympics t-shirts were sponsored by GSC Contracting and More Autos.
