AR Test- Accelerated Reader-Access only from campus

Accelerated Reader Certification Levels and Criteria

Point Club

5 points-Student sits in alternative seating during one library class.

10 points- Student receives a bookmark from the librarian.

15 points- Student checks out a magazine from the library.

25 points- Student receives a free book from the librarian.

35 points- Student is invited to attend Library Lunch Club

50 points- Student is invited to attend another Library Lunch Club.

This will continue in increments of 25.

Additional Medals/Trophies

Student must independently read (not read aloud by teacher, parent, etc.) these books and then take an AR test. In addition, students will be given a reading range to help him/her select just-right books when earning these awards.

Star Award- Student reads 30 star books with 80% or better. These books include Clifford, Fly Guy, and Biscuit.

Reward: Student receives a STAR medal on the morning broadcast

Heart Award-Student reads 30 heart books with 80% or better. These books include Henry and Mudge, Iris and Walter, Mr. Putter & Tabby, and Poppleton.

Reward: Student receives a HEART medal on the morning broadcast

50/50 Reading Award-Student reads and passes 50 Fiction books and 50 Nonfiction books.

(Star, heart, and chapter books do not count for this award.)

Reward: Student receives a 50/50 reading trophy on the morning broadcast

Chapter Book Award- Student reads and passes tests on 30 Chapter Books.

Reward: Student receives a Chapter Book medal on the morning broadcast
